Rebecca never planned to start a coffee business. She was a stay-at-home mum to four boys, and her attention was focussed on them, and making sure she raised good people. She’s a natural nurturer, calm, capable, and always helping others be their best. That same mindset is what fuels We’ve Bean today. Lift others up, and the rest will follow.

It all started on game night. Rebecca and her husband regularly host detective-themed evenings with friends, costumes, cocktails, the full experience. One 1920s night, while shaking up espresso martinis, the conversation turned to a caffeine crisis. Her husband’s office had come to a standstill the day the coffee run out. One guy said they were out. Another suggested placing an order. A third left to buy some. The fourth started collecting everyone's coffee orders. Hours lost. All because the caffeine stopped flowing.
Turns out, their friends had the same issue at their workplace. And just like that, We’ve Bean was born.
They started delivering to offices across Perth, sourcing quality beans locally and keeping productivity alive. Before long, people were asking: “Can you deliver to our homes too?” Rebecca didn’t blink. “Why not?” she said. “The day you say, ‘That’s not how we do it,’ is the day you stop growing.”
That go-with-the-flow mindset is at the heart of her business. It’s not just about coffee. It’s about connection.
Rebecca chooses to support local, every time she can. Her office supplies? Delivered monthly from a local business she found. Her website? Built by a guy just starting up. She gave him a shot. He delivered.
“Not everything can be local at the start,” she says. “But you get there. And you can feel good about the choices you make when you support who you can.”
Yes, sometimes it costs a little more. But as she puts it: “If you buy from Officeworks, you’re helping a CEO buy their fourth car. If you buy from a local, you’re helping a kid play sport. You’re sending a family on holiday. You’re building another family’s future.”
“It’s that saying. A rising tide lifts all boats. When you’re doing well, help someone else do well too. That’s what We’ve Bean is really about.”
